Being the Bad guy has never been so fun!

Why you should play “Entropy: Zero”

Entropy: Zero is a modification/expansion for the game Half-Life 2 released in 2017 by developer “Breadman”. The community-made experience delivers on all fronts and professionally mixes the traditional puzzle-shooter formula Half-Life became famous for in the early 2000s with new characters, maps, enemies, and storylines for the player to explore.

In Entropy: Zero you assume the role of Soldier 3650 (mainly known as: “Bad Cop” in the game). Bad Cop is a soldier for the Combine ( an enemy oppressive force in the Half-Life series) with the purpose to capture and exterminate rebels. His original mission was to infiltrate a rebel base and capture any living lifeform in the location. However, the infiltration goes wrong and Bad Cop ends up stranded alone and defenseless trying to fight himself out of the enemy territory. As Bad Cop continues lost in this new environment known as “City 10”, you as the player guide him through multiple endeavors in an attempt to regroup yourself with the other soldiers. In “Entropy: Zero” you will face multiple threats in your journey to escape the dreaded City 10 including Human resistance against the Combine, alien lifeforms, a sudden epidemic, and many other environmental hazards. Entropy: Zero equips the player with well-balanced and strong weapons to face against foes, weapons such as shotguns, assault rifles, grenades, and turrets.

The game is phenomenal in its gameplay balance and mixes first-person shooter combat with puzzle solving and strategizing. As a lonely hostile cop against the world, you have to keep your head low, this isn’t a game that rewards fast-paced close-quarters combat, but instead improves on Half-Life’s traditional gameplay philosophy of strategic and coordinated gunplay.

The game also rewards exploration and careful decision-making with its hidden powerups, and weapons and also with its large amount of achievements for completionists and fanatics. Entropy: Zero deserves credit for its well-crafted storyline. Taking place in the Half-Life universe (as previously stated) this game creates a diversion on the perspective the story is told through, but also creates its own unique storyline separate from the canonical Half-Life universe. The game puts you as the villain, however as a villain that has to fight his way through the society that he corrupted.

If nothing above convinced you of playing Entropy: Zero, be sure to know that this game is completely free! Entropy: Zero is classified as a mod on Steam and is completely free for download, however, it does require you to have either Half-Life 2 (another great game for only 20 R$), or the free source SDK 2013 base on your Steam account (as the game uses the same engine as these other titles). Entropy: Zero is a masterpiece in its own right and is sure to leave a mark on players who enlist themselves for the job of being a Bad Cop.
