At Milano fashion week, the fashion designer Alessandro Michele created history with the show “Gucci Twinsburg”. The event’s audience was divided into two areas, unaware that another sector was behind the walls. The models walked alone on either side until a wall was removed to reveal their siblings walking down the catwalk, dressed the same.

In a video posted on Twitter by Gucci, they wrote…

“After walking two separate runways divided by a wall of portraits, 68 sets of twins and doppelgangers joined hands with their sibling or other for the Gucci Twinsburg finale,”

However, where did this extraordinary idea originate, and how did Gucci find 68 pairs of twins?

Alessandro Michele has been fascinated by twins for years. That appears to be the case with his most recent Gucci Twinsburg display. Michele’s mother Eralda was a twin, and he considered his aunt Giuliana to be his second mother, thus everything starts with something really, intensely personal.

“The grace of their duplicated and expanded love gave rise to my eternal fascination for the double, for things that seem to reflect themselves,”

ALESSANDRO MICHELE

he said of his fascination with their private affairs. Of course, Michele isn’t fixated on being exactly alike as identical twins only share the same DNA patterns.

Twinsburg twins Jack and Nate Bartel modeled in Italy, Milano, for Fashion Week wearing a pair of red disco balls for a Gucci fashion designer who was inspired by the identical twins’ matching paintings. But their computer-programming mother and electrical engineer father could never have imagined how identical pair of 18-year-old student-athletes from Twinsburg who had no interest in or experience in modeling would end up strutting for one of the most prestigious fashion companies in Milan, Italy. The young men are now expecting their faces on the pages of international fashion magazines as they attempt to catch up on the academic tasks they missed while “escaping reality” abroad.

The world of global modeling has been a once-in-a-lifetime frenetic experience for young men. It all started when they were on the side of the road and somebody came asking if they would like to be in a European project, commented the twins. Then, the women took photos of them and noted their Instagram usernames and phone numbers. The twins only heard again from this proposal on September 5th, when a caller asked for their passport numbers to buy their tickets for a week in Milano, which sounded like a fraud. When the twins asked detailed questions about what this project would be, the caller simply refused to reveal it. The twins considered their options and took a risk despite the chances. They called back giving their passport numbers and had a flight scheduled on a Saturday. As soon as they arrived at the airport, they rushed f for a casting call at the Gucci hub at 9:30 a.m.

They went to the appointment in the sweatpants they wore on the plane, however, when they got there in the room there were 120 sets of twins, most of them tall, thin, and

“dressed to the nines, like they were going to a wedding,”

JACK

They were dressed in suits and told to the catwalk with all the other twins, and as they walked down the stage twins were dismissed and sent back home; however, Jack and Nate were chosen.
