How the beauty world affect young girl’s life

Ancient Egyptians, from 4000 BCE, started using makeup and were considered the first being to use cosmetics, such as a complex eye look. They would use it to represent a fashion and wealth statement. Despite the first records of makeup being from thousands of years ago, the types of beauty products we wear today are not completely different from that time.

Nowadays young girls from the age of 10-11 years old have been deeply connected in the beauty world. While this connection can be positive, young kids can discover their inner self by experimenting with beauty tools. Nonetheless, it may cause insecurities in those childrens. Such as trying to strive for a certain body type or a beauty standard. Although, looking up to beauty standards is normal, since that’s what society believes everyone should look like. Too many people not accomplishing what people consider the average beauty standards can create a variety of self esteem issues, or in more serious and more delicate cases, even depression.

Makeup has the ability to hide your true form into something that you desire. You can practically create a second face, it’s a chance for you to physically have everything you never had. Makeup can bring the creative and fun part of you. However, makeup can also work like a mask they can wear to hide what they don’t want to show the real world. Furthermore, that leads to many girls not being able to leave their own home without makeup, or they might feel ugly and start to overthink. Consequently, leading them to develop insecurities about themselves.

In my opinion, beauty products should be a hobby or something you do when you want to look prettier, like the cherry on top of the cake. Makeup should not have total control over how good looking you feel that day, or having the power to manipulate your mood based on your looks. Thus, you shouldn’t feel the need or feel obliged to wear it everyday just to feel beautiful.
