BIG 8 Tournament – April 17th-23rd

This week, while many of you were enjoying your spring break all around the world, our student-athletes were playing against 7 other schools for a title in the Big 8 tournament. Taking part in the tournament were: EAC Giants, Graded Eagles, Chapel Trojans, PACA Warriors, EAB Bulls, EARJ Panthers, ISC Wildcats, and Sant’Anna Wolves.

EAC sent basketball players in the first half of the week, unfortunately, they weren’t able to win a title, but they did play their best and had fun. During the second half of the week, EAC sent out 4 other teams, including boys and girls varsity soccer and volleyball. By the end of the tournament, our giants were able to fight for 2 titles. Our varsity boys volleyball team won 3rd place, and our varsity girls soccer team won 3rd place as well. Even though the other teams weren’t able to go to a semi-final for a title, they played amazing games for 5th, 6th, and 7th place.

The final placements of our teams throughout the tournament were:

  • Varsity Boys Basketball – 7th place
  • Varsity Girls Basketball – 5th place
  • Varsity Boys Soccer – 5th place
  • Varsity Girls Soccer – 3rd place
  • Varsity Boys Volleyball – 3rd place
  • Varsity Girls Volleyball – 6th place
