Again, the Giants have traveled to São Paulo for another day full of games. This Saturday, November 6th, we went to St. Paul’s to play soccer and volleyball for both girls and boys varsity teams. The results couldn’t have been better for us.
The first two games of the day were the Girl’s soccer team and the Boys’ volleyball team. The girl’s soccer team won by two goals (2×0), the goals were scored by Lisa Grilo (10th grade) and Débora Sabino (9th grade). On the other court, the boys won against the St. Paul Lions three sets to zero (3×0).

Later in the morning, the Boys’ Soccer Team had a tough time, both teams had scored one goal each, leading to penalties, where our athletes were capable of defeating our adversaries by two penalties scored to one. Back on the volleyball court, our girl’s team won the game by three sets to one (3×1). It was a long game, but the girls were able to take this victory home; also increasing our chances in the SPHSL (São Paulo High School League).
It was a great weekend for the Giants, we hope to keep up this energy until the next games, December 4th and December 11th. Stay tuned for the dates of the games in case we present them live on Youtube. Remember to cheer for our athletes. Go Giants!
